Gottbrath Parkway Phase I

Jacobi, Toombs and Lanz, Inc. performed topographic survey and design of approximately 8,000 feet of concrete sidewalk, 2,000 feet of storm sewer and drainage improvements, 400 square feet of retaining wall, earth grading, as well as other miscellaneous items to provide safety and separation between pedestrian and vehicular traffic in this area with high traffic volumes, both pedestrian and vehicular.A new asphalt on aggregate pavement roadway consisting of 4-lanes plus a two-way-left-turn-lane was constructed from SR-62 to New Chapel Road. From New Chapel Road approximately 400 feet southwest the asphalt on aggregate roadway was constructed consisting of 2-lanes plus a left turn lane. Concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk was constructed along the length of the new roadway. Storm and Sanitary Sewer was constructed. Conduit was installed for future utility services and a new water main constructed. Landscaping consisting of trees and bushes was planted and conduit for future street lighting (to be installed by Duke Energy) was placed along the roadway. The project also included a fully actuated traffic signal at the new intersection with SR-62 to be interconnected to other INDOT traffic signal at SR-62 and Utica-Sellersburg Road. Turn lanes along SR-62 for the new intersection and curb & gutter along the median were constructed.
