Joan Ave.
Design capacity: 169 gpm @ 20’ TDH
Joan Ave. is a submersible, simplex type pumping station that was deemed to be a non-critical component of the EWSU system during CMOM reporting activities. The station currently had no by-pass pumping capability or on-site back-up power. It is located among multiple residential homes and currently had no direct access road. A new submersible duplex station was installed approximately 100 feet east of the existing station, with a seven foot wet well and seven-foot valve vault being installed within an existing sewer easement. The new force main discharges into a gravity manhole approximately 75 feet from the new valve vault location.
