Veterans Parkway- Phase 2

Design and plans for widening Veterans Parkway from east of Woehrle Road to Holmans Lane and Holmans Lane from Veterans Parkway to East Tenth Street.  Veterans Parkway consisted of a five-lane urban roadway with a two-way left-turn lane (TWLTL) and bike lanes for length of 0.71 miles.  Holmans Lane consisted of a three-lane urban roadway with a TWLTL and bike lanes for a length of 1.0 miles.  The roadway included curb and gutter, sidewalk, modular block retaining walls, new storm sewers, and decorative street lighting on both sides.  A new traffic signal was installed at Peach Blossom Drive and the existing traffic signal at Veterans Parkway and Holmans Lane was modernized to accommodate the road widening.  It also required improvements on Charlestown Pike.  Right-of-way acquisition was required from 82 properties to construct the project.
